Avery The Reverend Beer Style: Belgian Quadruple Ale Color: Tawny Hop Variety: Styrian Goldings Malt Variety: Two-row barley, cara 8, cara 20, caramel 15L, caramel 40L, Belgian special B OG: 1.093 Alcohol By Volume: 10.0% IBU's: 10 The Reverend, was created in tribute to the life of Sales Mgr. Tom Boogaard's grandfather, an ordained Episcopal Reverend. Tom was inspired by the life of his grandfather and wanted to create a tribute beer that contained his sterling traits. True to both our "small brewery, BIG BEERS" philosophy and to the spirit and character of the departed Reverend, this beer is assertive, and pure of heart, a heart of candy sugar. It contains as many authentic imported Belgian specialty malts as the brewers could cram into our mash tun, and lots of Belgian dark candy sugar stirred into the brew kettle. A divinely complex and beautifully layered beer with hints of dark cherries, currants, and molasses, complimented by an underlying spiciness and a finish that is Sinfully smooth! |

Ska Decadent Imperial IPA Citrus aroma prevails. Mounds of fresh hops and caramel malts explode upon the palate. Originally produced to celebrate Ska's tenth year in business, this Imperial IPA hides nothing of our tendency toward self-indulgent behavior. The flavors of bitter grapefruit and caramel-like sweetness smack the taste buds, but there is plenty of bitterness throughout. There is just the right amount of finishing hops and carbonation to set you up for the next round. ABV: 10% |

New Belgium Fat Tire Named in honor of our founder Jeff's bike trip through Belgium, Fat Tire Amber Ale marks a turning point in the young electrical engineer's home brewing. Belgian beers use a far broader palette of ingredients (fruits, spices, esoteric yeast strains) than German or English styles. Jeff found the Belgian approach freeing. Upon his return, Jeff created Fat Tire and Abbey Belgian Ale, (assuming Abbey would be his big gun). He and his wife, Kim traveled around sampling their homebrews to the public. Fat Tire's appeal quickly became evident. People liked everything about it. Except the name. Fat Tire won fans is in its sense of balance: toasty, biscuit-like malt flavors coasting in equilibrium with hoppy freshness. Alcohol by Volume - 5.2% |

Stone's Arrogant Bastard This is an aggressive beer. You probably won't like it. It is doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to be able to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth. We would suggest that you stick to a safer and more familiar territory - maybe something with a multi-million dollar ad campaign aimed at convincing you it's made in a little brewery, or one that implies that their tasteless fizzy yellow beer will give you more sex appeal. Perhaps you think multi-million dollar ad campaigns make a beer taste better. Perhaps you're mouthing your words as you read this. Alcohol by Volume - 7.2% |

Pilsner Urquell As its name claims ("original source" is the meaning of both "Urquell" in German; the official language of Bohemia when it was a part of the Austrian Empire in which the brewery was founded in 1839, and of "Prazdroj", in Czech); it is the world's original pilsener, or golden beer. Most popular lagers produced in the rest of the world are based upon this original beer. [2] Many beers that call themselves a pilsner, pilsener or pils refer to being made in the style of this beer, first brewed by Josef Groll on 5 October 1842. The Bavarian brewer had been hired by local German-speaking citizens who had founded the B'rgerbrauerei (Burghers' brewery, later translated to Mě'ťansk, pivovar in Czech). Alcohol by Volume - 4.4% |
